The Company
Small division of large company Rochester, NY. R&D Engineering group.
The Job
The individual will design, develop RF senors for the energy industry.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize development boards, perform analysis, and simulations during design and development
- Work with firmware, mechanical, and test engineers to develop overall product
- Test circuit boards to prove they function as expected, debug as required
- Support transition to production and perform failure analysis on problem areas
- Verify that all acceptance criteria are met
- Analyze issues and identify alternative solutions or workarounds
- Make sure all the features, issues and tests are documented in compliance with our internal processes
- Support existing products life cycle management
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in hardware engineering
- 3+ years of Radio Frequency experience
- Experience in low power design
- EMI/RFI measurements/troubleshooting and mitigation
- Experience in high-speed design within Altium
- Ability to setup and operate RF test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, etc.
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in design using microcontrollers and RF modules (transmitters and receivers)
- Are an independent and motivated self-starter
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum framework
- Work well within teams and individually
